With over $917 million in expired tax refunds to manage, the IRS is hoping that Americans everywhere will be filing their past tax returns. More specifically, the IRS is hoping that Americans will file their 2009 taxes. The expiring tax refunds must be filed and claimed no later than April 15th of this year. If you didn’t file in ’09 and you want to find out if you are owed some of that dough, you are encouraged to file as quickly as possible.
